The owner of this residence desired to take advantage of the beautiful outdoor view of the Columbia River even in inclement times. This necessitated the design of a covered trellis area with a structural glass "wind break". The trellis served to provide shelter for outdoor activities and serve as the centerpiece of a vibrant outdoor activity setting. |

This outdoor area includes a vanishing edge swimming pool connecting the observer - "water to water" with the swimming pool to the Columbia River below. |

Additional outdoor activity areas included the octogonal shaped dining platform - which perches over the embankment to provide a spectacular view up and down the river. |
