The 23,000 sf
facility will feature a 13,000 sf, 2
level exhibit space, gift shop,
1500 sf catering kitchen, 200
seat theater, offices, support
space and attendant landscaping.
In addition to serving as an
interactive visitor center, the
facility will serve as an event
center for fundraisers, wine
maker dinners, civic and social
gatherings as well as school
related functions. Formations
Inc., a Portland based exhibit
designer worked closely with
the design team to fully integrate
the story of the local area
and the Port of Morrow to the
visitors experiencing the building.
As a project financed by
the Oregon Lottery Fund,
Terence L. Thornhill performed
these services while working
under the provisions of the
Oregon Specialty Code and the
prevailing public bid laws for
the state of Oregon. |
